Dear all,

This is my first attempt at building, so very grateful for advice. This is for a relative and not for gaming purposes. I have a budget of around £400.

If there are any thoughts or suggestions on what to change/improve, please say!

Cheers

Many thanks for the comments.

  • Would a CPU cooler be needed in this build? Incidentally, the person using it is quite deaf so noise isn't an issue.
  • Is an Intel i3 6100 the best CPU to go for? The most intensive application would probably be large Excel spreadsheets.

This is what I have got so far:

You definitely don't need a CPU cooler. Why a SSD? Wouldn't you benefit from having more storage space with a HDD?
