Hey everyone, I've had my laptop for a good few years but it's now not enough for me and I'm ready for a strong reliable PC. I've never put together a computer but I have a couple people that can help me and I'd just like the grander opinion from this forum. The main purposes for this build is digital art (as I'm an illustrator), storage and gaming. I've never been into pc gaming but since I'll have a computer that can handle it, I want to be sure that's covered.
Absolute programs I want to run smoothly: Photoshop, Illustrator, Zbrush, Keyshot, Sketchup, Modo. Other programs I'm interested in learning to run: 3D-Coat, Marvelous Designer, InDesign, Vue, Manga Studio, Cinema 4D, After Effects..
It will probably be a while til I get my hands and brain around all these programs but I want my computer to be able to handle it without issue when the time comes. I also want plenty of storage for files, videos, movies, games, music and photos.
What do you think about this list, anything I should swap out or improve before I start buying anything? Originally my budget was 1,200-1,500 but I've extended it and have no issue with the price my parts are at now.
Also, anyone know if you can program Photoshop shortcuts on the extra keys of a gaming keyboard? Thanks!
