Anyone have experience with these parts? PPP is telling me that the CPU cooler may not fit in the case? Unsure

Also, are these good prices? Newegg has CPU, mobo, RAM combo for $378 AR, is that a good price?

Thanks!

No one knows about the cooler since the max HSF height isn't listed anywhere. i would just get another case since its very dated design wise.

I am more than confident that the Cooler will fit the case because the case is a full ATX tower. Also dont skimp on case fans (them bois be loud) :).

Just roughly measured the case and compared it to the height of the cooler and I think I'm pretty safe as well =)

I like that cpu, and also I personally prefer the gtx series over amd any day, but it's your choice but if you do go nVidia get the gtx 1060 or 1070 on black friday so you can spend less money

Yeah, I've heard a lot of good things about the 1060/1070. I picked the 480 due to price for performance. Wasn't looking to spend a lot of money on this rig, but wanted it to be able to capable as well. Maybe in a few years I'll upgrade to one of them =)

Thanks for the replies, do you guys think I'm sacrificing much by going with a Z170-P? Mainly budget constraints, but I think I will want to try OC later in the future.

Here is what Intel chipsets do what https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_chipsets#LGA_1151. You could honestly get a cheaper motherboard with most if not all the same features. The best way to find out if the overclocking is good on it is if you looked up reviews online or on Youtube.
