Looking to game 1080P only and to achieve over 60FPS for future games. I understand the 1070 may be overkill

Trying to stay around the $1400 mark but any suggestions to cut costs down would be greatly appreciated.

Also planning to OC my 6600k. Will the evo 212 be enough as a cooler with 1 fan or would I need to add another fan?

I'd definitely look at a better psu. NEX units aren't particularly good. I'd also consider a better cooler, as a 212 Evo really isn't cut out for any overclocking imo

Can you advise why this PSU is not good. I made choices based on reviews and ratings so I am not too familiar with this brand.

Also, any cheap recommendations for overclocking.

NEX power supplies use cheap internal components. It's not that they're bad per se, it's just they aren't really good either. I'll get a tweaked build for you as soon as I get back to my computer

Something like this would work well. Swapped the SSD for a cheaper option, the cooler for a better performing option, GPU with a cheaper one from the same manufacturer, better PSU, and changed the included fans to only add a single 120 LED for the rear. You could go cheaper with the fans if you wanted as well

Thanks a lot for your help man. I think I've finalized everything. Just need to wait till black friday to see if I can score on savings.

For sure! I know I'm waiting myself for a few things to see if I can get any savings. More than likely I won't since I want a specific case and a bunch of fans/lighting/sleeved cables etc, but my fingers are crossed.

Good luck with the build!
