Opinions on my build...

Just want to get everybodys opinion on my build before I buy any more parts- already bought the i7 as it dropped in price by around $50 all of a sudden.

I'll be using it for gaming of course but also working from home- I'm a 3D artist and I'll be using 3ds Max, zBrush, Photoshop and Substance Painter and Designer. Also, I hope to buy a VR headset in the next year or so.

Also, its my second build ever but I'm confident this will be straightforward. About my build- I didn't create an overclocking build last time but I'm aiming to do so here. I went with a watercooler just because its tidy and looks cool. I'm planning on doubling the RAM later if needed but the 16gb of DDR3 1600 I have now has always been enough. Same with the PSU and fans- I think the case fans and water cooler will be fine but I can always add or change. Everything else is my best judgement at high performance/ lastability meets cost.

Edit: Also, aesthetics also play a part here. I'm not the type to overly concentrate on looks but as this is the most I've ever spent on a machine and it'll be my first case with a perspex side panel I want it to be good looking. Besides, it'll be sitting at my desk all day in front of me. I've gone for a black and grey look where I can as I don't want it to be too garish and I'm planning on setting the motherboards LEDs to turn red with CPU load. So that'll add a splash of colour.

Anyway, interested to see what you all think. And of course if I've done something stupid lol

I wouldn't reccomend the old cosair csm units, instead I would suggest something like the newer CXM units, the Sea Sonic g units, and the EVGA g2 units

Yep. But I'm pretty sure in the build you linked you put the old green csm processors

Better cooler, better PSU, and a cooler running GPU

Great choices really. I might end up changing to that PSU if it comes down in price. For the moment though I think I'll stick to mine as its just at an acceptable price for me anyways, plus as I added to my original post, aesthetics are somewhat important and I like the choices I've made!
