First Build/ Quiet Air Cooled Pc

MCDS

Trying to go for a Quiet PC that i could have running in my small bedroom at night without the noise disturbing me. I have planned to go with a 2tb ssd to keep the build as quiet as possible and keep the storage in one place. Opinions would be appreciated, if you want to make a suggestion for a change to the build try to keep the cpu cooler a quiet air cooler.

In all honesty, that SSD seems like a waste of money. You could go with a 1TB or even 500GB and just have a bulk HDD if you need it. If you aren't rendering you probably don't need the i7 6700K. Although this build does seem like you have the money to just throw around so go for the flashy parts if you like!

I agree its alot of money; I would love to go for a 1tb ssd but my games library is big enough that it wouldn't practical. The build will be for gaming, AutoCAD and Revit.

Edit: Here is another build with a small ssd and 3tb hdd:

I see, just curious, why not go for water cooling? Beside you know, it potentially leaking and ruining 3 grand worth of components the slight chance of malfunction.

Not enough money atm to do what I want but also my previous pc was a nightmare to upgrade so at least for the first build I just wanted something that was easy to upgrade and keep running. I do plan to do a water cooled build in the future but when I have more experience and room to build in. I still live at home and there is no space I could keep the pc while I worked on it / place it for the Leak test. We have Black Lab and a small cat who sleep in one of the only places I could keep my pc while I was building it and leak testing.

Edit: Yeah the chance of it leaking does make me nervous and till I know more I figured this would be safer option. My Old pc is an Alienware Area 51 from 2010. Never going that route again what kind of moron puts a PCI shroud hinge right above the screws for the PCI slots.

In all honesty, with the extra info I can't really fault what you've got in the first build. (I feel you on the cat front, mine sleeps on top of my current PC and turns it on and off throughout the night). You've clearly worked hard for your money and that SSD is beautiful and the stuff of legend.

Only thing I can really think of is maybe a case with some bigger fan slots for even quieter cooling?

Yeah; problem is finding nice looking case with good air flow that has the same minimalist appearance of the Evolv.
