To overclock or not overclock that is the question...

Hi all! I got a little scared when I read "minimum 500w or greater system power supply" on the GPU box. Will my PSU not suffice? I'm still waiting on my motherboard so I still have to time to cash-in on some of the sales and return my current one.

Question 2: Microcenter is having a black friday deal on the i5 6600k http://www.microcenter.com/product/451885/Core_i5-6600K_SkyLake_35GHz_1151_Boxed_Processor and with my estimates + the 30 combo deal with a motherboard I could make it even with the i3 I currently have (bought an expensive motherboard). Would it be a sound idea to capitalize on the 6600k (intend to overclock in the next year or so but not currently) and would that then require a higher power supply like 500w+?

Thanks for reading!!! You guys are the best

UPDATE: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/3hkwrH/corsair-power-supply-cp9020102na This looks like an adequate replacement if I do need more watts. Would this cover the i5 6600k with an MSI z170? or is overclocking not really necessary for my needs ( I intend to mod skyrim/play witcher 3/ deus ex and then use it as a linux rig for coding the other times

I would definitely get the 6600k. Hell, wish I had a Microcenter around here so I could pick that up.
