NZXT Phantom 410 power lead

On first boot, the power button on the front panel to the mobo worked fine. After that, every time I connected it, my rig would turn on for a few seconds, then immediately turn off. Is there a short or something?

Note: this is definitely the power cable. when i unplug it, everything works perfectly. I'm currently using the reset button to power on my system

Just curious, is there a serious problem with using the reset as power?

Not really other than aesthetics I guess but it's a new case and I don't really want any defective parts, even if it's pretty minor
