On first boot, the power button on the front panel to the mobo worked fine. After that, every time I connected it, my rig would turn on for a few seconds, then immediately turn off. Is there a short or something?

Note: this is definitely the power cable. when i unplug it, everything works perfectly. I'm currently using the reset button to power on my system
