Not enough information about the usb. I believe you'll need one that's at least 4gb in capacity.

It's a 16 GB flashdrive. The files that are on it are what I'm asking about. It's what the windows 10 tool downloaded to it. I've been told it will work, but I'm not sure... hoping.

Looks like the standard Windows 10 installation root directory.

Yes the Windows Media Tool does work with a usb drive. Five GB is needed for the file downloaded from Microsoft. There is a 10th Anniversary build at this site from October 2016 that does not have a dvd drive in its parts list. I am guessing the builder used a usb drive to install Windows 10. The Windows Media Tool also can be installed on a DVD.
