Corsair CX750M terrible noise!!!!!

Hey guys. So I've had this PSU for about 4 months and when playing something as simple as minecraft, I will hear a screetching/whining coming from my pc. I'm 99% sure it's my PSU. When looking up and down for instance in minecraft, i'll hear the noises changing depending if im looking at a highly complex area. I'm thinking its because my system is eating up more power?? I dont have all that powerhungry of a build. I'm looking to upgrade to a better, quieter, longer lasting PSU. Sometimes, I'll even hear whining just while idiling. It gets worse while playing battlefield and what not.

I was thinking about the:

CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready)

CORSAIR AX series AX760 760W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

CORSAIR AXi series AX760i 760W Digital ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

ANY recommendations guys? Thanks!

  • IF cost effective to do so, contact Corsair for RMA. Not surprising since the oem is CWT.
  • Among the three series listed above, vote for AX760, since the oem is Seasonic.

So you do believe that the psu is indeed faulty?

As I already stated, it would not be surprising. Only someone who has access to the system in question while noise is generated can verify.

Every PSU has some level of coil whine. Some are almost inaudible some are very terrible like yours.

This PSU supposedly don't have those noises
