How is the stock fan that comes with the AMD FX-6300? Should I get a CPU cooler? The build I am doing will mainly be for gaming but it is a budget build. pcpartpicker Thanks!

If noise is not a factor, included heatsink should suffice.

If you overclock you will need a different cooler otherwise the stock cooler should work just fine.

You'll get higher temps and more noise from a stock one but yes it'll work

I recently replaced my stock fan from the FX-6300 I was using. It started getting noisy, even at low speeds. Not only that, but when I stream for 4 hours at a time under high loads, it tends to get rather warm. To be on the safe side and cut down on the noise, I'm now using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO and love it ! Well worth the extra $30 investment.
