Could I swap Windows onto another (now referred to as the second) SSD, and wipe the first one though the install? Or would Windows see that another version is on the SSD and not install properly?

It's not an OEM copy.

Look up disk cloning software. It's sort of like a heavy-duty copy and paste system: it takes a storage volume (e.g. the C:\ drive on your computer) and creates an exact duplicate of it in its entirety and places it on a different disk or partition.

I use Macrium Reflect Free.
