Can I use only 4 pins when my motherboard has 8 pins? Mother board is MSI Basooka B150M I'm in a foreign country and parts availability is not good

i3 6100, then. Yes, it is totally fine if you run it with just a 4-pin.

Out of curiousity, what do the four on the left power, and would they supply more power for a for a higher end processor?
