Help on psu wattages

Is a 1000W PSU over kill for these parts? I have 2 extra hard drives I have on hand for it , standard 7200rpm 1Tb drives, I also plan on doing some good overclocking on the CPU and GPU

Slightly overkill, but not by much. With the parts you are adding, for the ability to add more beef in the future go up to 750 watts. No more than that, unless you are planning to run more than 2 Graphics cards.

It's a crazy amount of overkill. You would use about 600w to 650w at most with overclocking and doing SLI. Just get a 750w PSU.
