Hey friends, Curious if someone could take a look at my build and tell me if the Evo 212 will work. It says in the notes that I would need a part if I wanted to use it. If that is the case could someone show me where I could get the piece? One more question.. Will the Evo 212 be good enough to cool this comp?

Heres the build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FKmDYr

U just need to order the free adapter from cooler master

Don't bother with it. The stock cooler cools just as well as the hyper 212 evo. You'd be wasting your money as you would get no gain in cooling performance.

Can recommend a cooler that is around the same price but is better?

I recommend these two

The H7 is cheaper, and will perform well. A great budget option. The macho performs amazing, and contends with the Noctua NH-D15.

Will that even fit in the case I have? With a big 1080 in there?

Oh, most definitely. You have a full tower case. You can fit nearly any air cooler in there. Full tower cases are designed with Custom Water loops in mind, so a beefy air cooler has more than enough room.

You do realize that is barely better than the 212 so if what you said was true it would be pointless to get it too.

No it doesn't...While its good its a far cry from being on par with the 212. There is a MASSIVE difference in surface area and the stock cooler doesn't even have liquid heatpipes.

Just checked a couple more benchmarks.

The one I initially checked said it was on par. Other benchmarks say that it performs within 10c of the hyper 212 EVO. Still not bad.

It will work if you have the bracket, but why bother it does not beat the stock cooler by much (if any).

bang for buck the CRYORIG - H7 is a good bet, Its about the same price as a 212, cools a bit better. its also a well polished solution.

With the budget your already talking about spending is going for an AIO out of the question?

Stock cooler is good. I'm pretty sure 212 comes with the am4 bracket. At least when I purchased my 212 (led) about 3 months ago it did...

Either way try the stock one, or get an H7 for a bit more.

It's a better cooler anyway.

Unfortunately, it appears it is sold out under that listing. But I found it here under this one.
