Which AM3+ motherboards have built in WIFI if any?
I would prefer one with SLI capability or at least the ability to overclock the CPU well.
Am I wording this wrong? Do all (or most) of them have built in wifi?
There are currently no AMD ( AM3+ ) motherboards with Wifi. This is generally due to AMD boards being more price aggressive.
If you want to add on wireless you can do via PCIe card or via USB
my recommendation would be the USB-N53 a good high throughput adapter with very solid range and offers dual band support.
Then you just need to consider the board. Depending on your budget I would look at the M5A Series
M5A99X EVO R2.0
M5A99FX PRO R2.0
All great boards offering good reliability, stability and rich features and functionality. Overclocking is also consistent across all of them although the EVO and PRO will offer slightly superior stability at 4.8GHz and higher overclocks especially with highest end FX 9000 based CPUs. This is due to improved power delivery components.
With that noted you can get an idea of a build and the performance in this build linked below. This based on the M5A97 R2.0 and the AMD FX 6300.
Hope this helps and best of luck with the build!
Thanks! I really appreciate all the help.
No problem! Have a great Friday!
You as well!
