I just got the hp 580-023w for xmas. Im using a hdmi cable i plug it in and it says retrieving data then says no signal... Help

Make sure that the HDMI cable is plugged into the GPU and not the motherboard.

FLIPTASTIC I GOT SCREWED IN THE @$$ MY FLIPPING PC DIDNT COME WITH RAM I OPENED IT UP IT WAS NOWHERE IN SIGHT!!!

Are you sure that your HDMI cable isn't broken? Try testing it on a different monitor/device. It could also be a problem with your HDMI port.
