Help w/ PC black screen.

I had already previously built my pc and it worked fine until I changed and added some parts, I have a i5 6600 processor and wanted to switch to an i7 7700k, 3 TB sea gate hardrive, added a 240 gb m.2 ssd, bronze 750 power supply, 2x 8 gb ram, b150 pro gaming/aura motherboard and only ended up w/ a black screen but everything ran(hd, motherboard leds, case fan, gpu fan, etc, not sure if my gpu has leds but I didn’t see any lit). I found out that I needed a bios update for the i7 to work with my motherboard so I switched back to my i5 and took off the ssd and still the same result. Didn’t seem anything got unplugged since leds/fan still worked so I’d appreciate any ideas on where I went wrong. Also gave enough time to load(about 15 minutes) for dvi and hdmi. But not at the same time.

EDIT: I have reset the cmos as well and still didn’t have an effect.

I would clear your CMOS with your old i5 in and then try to reboot.

Reset the cmos but unfortunately it still didn’t work.

So your PC won't boot at all and you were never able to apply the BIOS update?

It gets power to all the parts, and the hdmi is reading there is a device powering on when I turn it on but it comes out a black screen. And I haven’t been able to get to the setup screen so not yet. And I recently realized I didn’t need it either. I suppose I was looking at the wrong model on this site bc I just checked my packaging for both processors and they are both 51s.

At this point I’m taking it over to Best Buy to run diagnostics. Only thing I can think of is the motherboard could have short circuited when I put my processor in.

Or could be that my usb wasn’t picking up my keyboard so it wouldn’t register when I hold delete to reset my cmos.
