Does anyone here like to listen to Classical music?

It's rare I find people to talk to about classical music so it would be cool if some people here did. My favorite pieces would have to be The suites written by Gustav Holst. The Euphonium solo in the Second suite in F? Don't get me started.

I listen to it often.

Parachel Canon in D Minor, Tschaikofsky's 1812 Overture (The Light Brigade!), In the Hall of the Mountain King, etc. I have played Mars and Jupiter suites from Holst for concert band, and Mars is a background piece of music to my very favorite WWII game (and second-favorite game of all time).

My personal favorite is Russian Christmas Music. The zinger near the end....

I played Russian Christmas Music my 9th grade year. I was second chair at the time, but got to play 4th trombone. Loved the bass trombone part. The ending was my favorite.

I haven't listened to the full suite yet, but Jupiter is amazing (Gustav Holst)

Yes, my favorite is Mars honestly.

I very much enjoy violin and piano sonatas. Not so much that it is itself "classical music," but a derivative of it.

Not much into the violin, but piano sonatas is a different story :)

I know no specific music, but I used to play some youtube playlists back when I did tax returns to try and maintain some sanity during tax season. The music really helped me focus I felt like. Wish music like it was still produced and was as popular as it was back then.

Lol, you should expand your mindset. There are a lot of amazingly emotional works in both the classical genre and derivatives of it.
