Tempered glass

Any good places to get tempered glass cut to a custom length for not too much? Also, should it directly to the case or poke out the acrylic window in my corsair air 240's side panel and glue a piece of glass to the frame so it covers the hole?

You can't cut tempered glass. You would need to cut regular glass and then temper it. Also you are probably look at local stores, not nation chains.

Ok. Wasn't planning on cutting it in the first place, should have made that more clear. I will scrounge around.

I think that you should cut it so it matches the dimensions of the sides of the case and then DIY a metal frame to mount it on. You should be able to cut glass at home with a glass cutter. Or, ask around your area and ask for someone who has a water jet color.

You can not cut tempered glass with a glass cutter, that is how you end up with a huge broken glass mess.

Just look up a glass shop. You can get waste sheets for dirt cheap, and a lot temper in house. So if they don't have any waste in the size you want, you can have then cut a sheet to size and tempered. It's not very expensive, specially for the size you are wanting. You can also have them drill holes for screw placement if you want.

If you can find a spare piece that's large enough, you can cut it using a string, alcohol, fire, and water. Just dip the string in alcohol, stretch it where you want the cut and tie it tight, light it on fire, allow it to burn for a few seconds, dip the glass in the water. It should break quite cleanly where the string was stretched.

Redneck glass cutting.

Then you just have to have it tempered. lol
