Should I use the pre-applied paste or apply new paste?

If it matters this is the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Chaostheory1704/saved/4041

I see no problem using the pre-applied. But considering you have spent nearly 6K, another $10 couldn't hurt for some good stuff.

I guess that's why I'm asking is there is really a difference from what they used as to what an aftermarket might offer.

If you want you can use Indigo Extreme, basically glues your cpu to your heatsink/cold plate, best stuff out there but it's jut a H110 so it would benefit much.

Thermal paste is more about how well you can put it on than how good the paste is, Corsair's pre-applied is already spread out perfectly for you to put on.

You should never use a product that glues anything to your cpu. The cpu fan is bolted down with 4 bolts, so glue is not needed. Thermal paste is to add to the cooling process, not to be sticky like glue.
