Audio not working please help!

All of a sudden, today my front audio ports for my headset have stopped working. After I unplug and replug them there is a weird high pitched noise going into my headset and my pc is not labeling it as connected(the headset). It shows that Digital Audio (S/PDIF) (High Definition Audio) is plugged in and connected however all i have plugged in are my 2 monitors (VGI and Hdmi), my network adapter (usb), mouse, and keyword. I tried seeing if a windows update would help with no such luck. When I plug it into the back panel ports it shows that "speakers" are connected yet nothing goes through the headphones including no high pitched noise.

Have you tried with a different set of headphones? If you hear no sound through either port with them, I'm suspecting you busted your pair :(

What case do you have? I know some Cooler Master cases have finnicky/low quality front audio ports.

(Make sure you turn your volume up on your PC).

I have a DYIPC Illusioni BL Case...With any other headphones and speakers there is still no audio. The volume is all the way up as well even in audio mixer...I seriously cannot find anything that works...Even when I try to troubleshoot anything related nothing comes up and Windows does not think there are any issues. Im stumped.

Do your headphones still work on other devices?

If both audio ports are silent I would try resetting the CMOS on your motherboard. A quick and easy Google search will show you how to do it.

Try installing audio drivers. Your motherboard company website should have some.

This may not work, but I'm just throwing ideas out there.
