Monitor "No Signal"

I know this topic has been posted about many times but I cannot find an answer. Setup: I'm cheap and I turn off my PC every time I'm done using it. I have it plugged into a power strip and I turn that off too, in an attempt to use less electricity (standby power). When I do turn it back on my monitor, just recently, won't turn on. In order to fix it I have to hold down the power on my PC until it's off then turn it back on after like 30s. Does anyone know what could be going on? I think it has to do something with the recent Nvidia driver update. Any help would be appreciated!

My build BTW: only using the 27" monitor other one isn't hooked up.

Had to think about this for a bit. When you say you "turn off" do you actually power off from the start button or are you putting it into standby mode?

I only say "turn off" in regards to the power strip. I shut down my computer when I'm done using it via Windows->Shut Down. I hope this answers you're question.

Try leaving the power strip on. If you think its the Nvidia drivers try installing an earlier version.

Yeah leaving the power strip on works. I guess I'll just do that. Found some info online that PCs don't actually use that much standby energy so I think I'm good. Thanks for the help.
