Cooler Master N200 - fans requirement

palosanto

Hi, I'm about to build a rig on a Cooler Master N200 case http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mini-tower/n200/

I will have a i7-4770k CPU and a Geforce 770 as main heat generators. The CPU cooler is a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus (very quiet) The case seems to come with two fans already, one on the front and another on the back.

My question: Should I need to add more case fans?. I might overclock slightly (but not to the max). I don't want to end up being too loud either. What are your thoughts?

Thanks

Having used the N200, the stock fan setup will be fine. Make sure the motherboard you choose has enough fan headers, the fans on max speed aren't loud, but definitely not quiet.

However, it wouldn't hurt to have a top exhaust fan.

Hi, The MB is an Asus Z87M-Plus Micro ATX LGA1150. Not sure what you mean by 'enough headers' ? Do you mean connectors? Can you clarify please Thanks!

Yea just fan connectors. This motherboard has 2, so any other fans you get you will have to hook up via a molex connector, fan controller, or fan connector Y splitter.

Thanks again. Its my first build as workstation for 3d modeling and rendering. Here is my parts list:
