It seems my motherboard is game over but all the other PC parts are fine. Can i replace just the motherboard and if so is it just install and play?

Short answer would be "yes" (without knowing more about your rig) ... you can replace mobo (if that is indeed the problem and the only component that died) and install the other components on it and it should work...assuming is the other components are fine.

Some Questions:

  • Do you know what caused your mobo to die?

  • How old is your PSU? What brand/part number?

  • How old are your other components?
