I recently decided I was in need of a CPU upgrade. I picked a cpu and a new mobo, and order the parts. As the mobo and cpu were the only upgrades I wanted to make, I decided to take all other parts and reinstall them in the new motherboard. After fully assembling, the computer will turn on (everything lights up and turns on) but it will not go into the bios or windows. The RAM, fans, GPU, chipset, and drives are functional. The motherboard might be broken, but I don’t know. When I turn it on I get an orange light at the bottom right of the board that says it could be off, on, or soft off. I think I may need to update the bios, as pcpartpicker said the board may need a bios update. Any help is appreciated. Have a good day.
