Vega 64 liquid cooled. Recommended psu is 1000w. Is 750w enough? I think 1000w is too extreme.

1000W are a bit too much. lol

Test build 1 below...

  • CPU: Intel i7-5960X
  • Memory: Kingston HyperX FURY Black 32GB Quad Channel Kit 2666 MHz
  • Motherboard: Asus X99-DELUXE II
  • Cooling: Noctua NH-U12S Cooler
  • Storage: Kingston Hyper X Savage 960GB SSD

...consumes with a XFX Vega 64 LC: ~526 Watts. (3D Mark Firestrike < “performance” preset>)

This build 2 below...

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K@4.9GHz
  • Memory: 32GB DDR4-3200 RAM (CL14)
  • Motherboard: Asrock Z270 Taichi
  • CPU cooler: ???
  • Storage: Samsung SSD 850 Evo 4TB

...consumes with a XFX Vega 64 LC: ~485 Watts. (Crysis 3 1440p <Very High Quality>)

So yeah, a 650 Watt PSU would be enough.

Unless you opt for an 850 Watt G2 unit from EVGA for $89.99
