Display's go black when USB plugged in

Sometimes when I plug a USB device into my computer, it will cause either one or both of my display's to go black for about a second or two. This issue has been prevalent since I got the computer (2.5 years), and this also happen's when either unplugging or plugging something into the extension lead.I have also seen it happen once when the microwave was turned on downstairs. I guess it would be something to do with interference with the household electrical circuit? Correct me if I am wrong. Also, how would I stop this from happening.

This is the setup it is occurring on: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/b/6gmqqs

All drivers and software are latest.
