I have an evga Gtx 1060 and the heat has been gradually been peeling the sticker off, will it void the warranty if it falls off
If you're in the US, the warranty sticker means nothing. The FTC ruled them illegal last year.
Even if the sticker comes off, it is evga so they will probably still honor the warranty.
Then keep it safe on a locker or a similar place.
It can happen, as the PCB heats up over time, so the sticker may fall off.
And YES, you need that sticker from the GPU if it goes bad and you must replace it with another one, considering the warranty hasn't expired. :)
Hey mark, so the warranty won't be void if it falls off
Not if it falls off, but if you take the GPU back, you should either try to stick it to the GPU back or just deliver the GPU and the sticker in the original Box that this GPU came with.
So, don't lose that info sticker! :)
Ok, thanks for the info
