to buy RTx 2070 or RTx 2060?

one my friend wants to buy one gaming monitor for 1080P for games

he wants to buy one gaming monitor 27 size

the badget is 300- 450 euros He wants to buy one monitor as I said 300-450 euros for 1080P and also he wants to buy one gpu, he is between RTx 260 which release in some days and in RTX 2070 RTX.. which from these 2 is better to buy for 1080P;; 2060 or 2070?

my friend he did some thoughts he doesn't want to spend a lot of money for ips monitors and RTX 280 and 2080 Ti because he believes that these RTx doesn't worth now and he said to his shelf better to buy one TN monitor 1920.1080 resolution witn one RTX 270 or 2060 for 2 yEARS AND after 2 years to buy one very good monitor and one gpu RTx 4080 or RTx 5080 after 1 and 2 years when RTx be better in some years./..

he said to himshelf why to spend now a lot of money in RTX 2080 and 2080 TI and untrawides and ips panels which all these costs 1000 and 2000 euros and is better idea is now to buy one RTX 2060 and one TN monitor to do my job for while playing games in 1080P which 1080P is more futureproof from 1440P because you will not upgrade in vga cards every 1 year as you do in 1440p because IN 1440P YOU HAVE EVERY 1 OR LESS TO SPEND A ,LOT OF MONEY

also do you believe that 2060 RTx will be good for 1080P ultragaming for 3 years from now? also to buy 2060 or 2070? because 2070 has 8 vram and 2060 has 6 vraM also the performance between 2060 and 2070 is the same? in games? or is better to buy 2070 because it has 8 vram which would be more futureproof? also I am interesting in one monitor like this example https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus...-gaming-widescreen-led-monitor-mo-09t-as.html because this monitor has support for g-sync from nvdia..

do I have another options for monitors? also which 2070 RTx to buy?? or which 2060 RTx to buy?

someone told some things and tell me if you agree or disagree

he told me Gpu Technology is usually changing faster as raw performance does. I assume that 3 years from now a 2060 won't be able to play every game with max settings in 1080p. But it will still be a capable card and with high or mid settings will deliver a enjoyable experience.

Look at the 2 Gen old 980ti launched mid 2015 top of the line. Still a great card. Will deliver a nice ultra experience in 1080p in New games like battlefield. But if you expect 144 fps you will get disappointed. And a 960 (same tier compared to 2060) fails to push further than 41 fps. But if you dial back the settings you will still be able to play at comfortable framerates

Turn the FPS counter off and just enjoy whatever you buy. You dont need to be fixed on a FPS counter.

What CPU does he have? I rarely (and I mean rarely) look at FPS for if the game runs good (might require a few tweeks in graphic settings here and there) then I am happy (not a big numbers person myself).

Also maybe he should think of a slightly smaller monitor that is 2k? I know he games at 1080p (as you mentioned) but a monitor is something that, when you upgrade your system, you will get more bang for the buck out of your monitor since you will be using the same monitor with the newer system.

The 2070 is really a 2k/max all settings card (and 4k/mid settings) that you really do not need if gaming at 1080p. So I suggest if he really is sticking with 1080p then a 2060 will do BUT also there are other GPUs that are a few years old he might look into also.

my friend has now one asus gtx 780 and I want to ask if is it worth to upgrade his gtx 780 in the rtx 260 for ultra gaming in 1080p.

he has now one 4770k in 4.5 and one asus gtx 780 3vram..

also will he has bottle with the rtx 260; or 2070 RTX ?

it is worth to update from the asus gtx 780 to rtx 260;; for little until the next year? will rtx 260 hold for gaming?until new cpus and new gpus will come next year?

will rtx 260 or rtx 2070 can handle the games of 2019 in very good fps in 1080p for 1 year;; from now

he wants to upgrade the rtx 2060 in new gpu the next year 2020 , he wants to buy this card only for this year.

will he see massive improvent from gtx 780 with 260 rtx in the newest games of 2018 and 2019; very high and ultra fps in 1080P;;

for little until the next year? will rtx 260 hold him for gaming?until new cpus and new gpus will come next year?

for 1080P'''';;; 1920.% 1080 resolution//?

the rtx 260 is has the performance with 1080 and 1070TI;;

also do you believe that 2060 RTx will be good for 1080P ultragaming for 3 years from now?

also to buy 2060 or 2070? because 2070 has 8 vram and 2060 has 6 vraM

also the performance between 2060 and 2070 is the same? in games? or is better to buy 2070 because it has 8 vram which would be more futureproof?

I'd get the 2060 for 1080p I'm planning to as well. I'm also getting a 144hz monitor which it will also be good for on a lot of games at 1080p.

In 3 years the 2060 should still be able to play new games in 3 years at probably at least 60fps at 1080p, more fps for easier to run games and esport games or if you put down the settings.

The 2060 will probably still be able to play new games up to 2 new generations past this card at 1080p.

I would not get a 2070 unless you were going to jump up to 1440p gaming where the vram and extra speed will be more important. It's just not a good value card for 1080p gaming. Technically the 2070 is always going to be better in every situation, but that's why it costs $150 dollars more. They say you can overclock a 2060 to reach close to a stock 2070 as well.

You will get a major improvement over the gtx 780

I am sort of in this dilemma right now as well. Its the 6 gig vs 8 gigs that I am concerned over. I wish to game, but also make some videos, 3D modelling/ drafting etc.

I dont need 4k. Id need new eyes to appreciate it, but if I have it I have it. Im more concerned about VALUE and longevity at this point.

I'd get the 2070 then if you are into more than gaming, it makes a lot more sense to pay that extra for the vram and better specs.

Hey Powderedonutsale, mmmmdonuts, thanks man I appreciate the feedback - apologies for delay. Yeah I think I knew the answer and was err'ing on the side of being cheap. 2070 Makes sense, as does this new Radeon kind of now that I have been looking into it.
