Hi there!

my current build: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/bPwmhy my case: Thermaltake CA-1I4-00M1WN-00 Core G21 TG Midi-Tower,black

I was looking for a good cpu cooler and found the Dark Rock 4 Pro. The question i have is, if it's compatible with my current build? I'm pretty sure it is but i still wanted to ask in a forum!

Clearance of that case CPU cooler height limitation: 160mm (source: https://www.thermaltake.com/products-model_Specification.aspx?id=C_00003106 )

Overall dimensions without mounting material of that cooler (L x W x H), (mm) 145.7 x 136 x 162.8 (source: https://www.bequiet.com/en/cpucooler/1378 )

So no the Dark Rock 4 Pro won't fit. But the be quiet! - Dark Rock 4 (non pro) https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/FRYLrH/be-quiet-dark-rock-4-cpu-cooler-bk021 will fit since it has a height of 159.4 (source: https://www.bequiet.com/en/cpucooler/1376 ). Its very close but it should fit.

Yes The DR4 will fit but it's very close...and there are other alternatives with a lower height.

But they aren't BLACK!

And you can find these above coolers for cheaper!

And actually you could make the build cheaper without any performance loss.

Case: Max CPU Cooler Height Allowance 160 mm

Dark Rock Pro 4: Max CPU Cooler Height 163 mm

Looks like if you might run into some trouble there...

Dark Rock 4 (non pro) is 159.4 mm so even that would be really pushing this case it seems.

The Dark Rock TF is only 130.8 mm in height.

Thank you for the answers guys! My cpu gets quite hot when i'm playing some high end games, therefore i was looking for a better cooler. The cpu is overclocked at 3,7ghz and it's idle temperature is around 45-48°C. When playing games like Far cry 4 at max settings 1080p, the temp goes up to 75-80°C.

My bad that i didn't check the measurements .-. I'll probably go with the dark rock tf!

CPU cooler height limitation: 160mm

The DRP4 is 162.8mm tall, so no it wont fit in your case.

The DR4 will, barely (maybe - it'd be tight), it's 159.4mm tall.

EDIT: Uggg, I already replied to this.... what am I even doing anymore?

don't take this the wrong way, since the pro 4 cooler is amazing, but what do you hope to achieve on a ryzen processor? I don't think there's much headroom for overclocking. If you don't like the stock cooler that comes with it, a cheaper, smaller air cooler will probably get you the same overclocking results.
