Hi :)

Just finished building my first pc after many setbacks and a ton of cuts on my hand. Man it was hell, connecting psu cables.. not fun.

Anyway, managed to finally getting all the parts working somehow and recognized, I know this because I got into BIOS interferce and saw my parts all identified and working.

But, a wierd message pops up: “Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key”

I’m using a 32 GB flash drive to hold the windows .iso (fat32), I remember installing windows on my brother’s laptop but didn’t get this message then.

My build if it matters: - CPU: intel i5-9600k

  • CPU Cooler: Scythe Mugen Rev. B

  • Motherboard: MSI MAG Z390 Tomahawk

  • GPU: MSI RTX 2080 DUKE

  • Memory: 2x8 GB vengeance 3000 MHz

  • storage: 256 Gb crucial mx500 & 1 TB crucial mx500

  • PSU: Sseasonic Gold plus 650W

P.S. Apologize for my bad English, not my first language

Edit 1: I also tries to play with my top priority boot drive, putting my 256 GB SSD on first or my Flash drive at first, didn’t work sadly (got this from google).

Hi thanks for responding — You were helpful and your response helped me big time hehe.

I got on my other device and formated the flash drive to ntfs, then used PowerISO to create a bootable usb drive (there was an option, I just clicked) and tadaa, it works.

Installing windows now :)
