Why is the 983 DCT 1.9TB M.2 more expensive than the 970 Pro when the Pro has higher read/write speeds? Is it because the 983 DCT has more capacity? The reason I ask is because the gaming motherboard that I wanna use for my upcoming build has three M.2 slots, two for 22110 M.2s and one for 2280 M.2.

Unless you're going to do a HUGE amount of read-write cycles you only really need the 970 Evo.

983 DCT is an enterprise SSD made for data center/server environment.

970 Pro (and Evo) are client/consumer SSDs made for a consumer PC.

For gaming, I'd recommend consumer SSD, unless you have a specific use case for your machine that would justify the extra cost of an enterprise SSD.
