I'm looking into getting 2 more 1440p 165Hz monitors, but I'm not sure if it's even possible, furthermore I just realized that my monitor's HDMI is HDMI 1.4...
Can I use 2x Display Port and 1x HDMI for 7680x1440 165Hz? or do I need all 3 to be DP?
Can I use a HDMI 2.0 to DP 1.4 Cable and get the same results as 3x DP? apparently doesn't exist?
Will DM_Lightning get the answers he needs? FInd out next time on the next episode of Dragonball Z!
e: apparently HDMI supports up to 2560x1440@144hz? if so, that's awesome, because I honestly don't expect a single 2080 ti to push over 120 FPS to 7680x1440.
e: just realized I put USB 2.0 in title instead of HDMI 2.0 /facepalm
e: finally got a second monitor and usb c to DP cable. I can confirm that I get 165Hz 1440p on the USB C to DP cable on Dell S2417DG
Gsync only works over displayport
what about a USB C to DP adapter? because the Asus ROG 2080 Ti has 2x DP and 1x C port?
I think that USB-C for video out is just a remapping of DisplayPort onto the UCB-C connector, so I think it would work. Not 100% sure though.
I will find out for sure within the next few months, and if I remember, I will post my results here
That is still an unknown
