I'm looking to upgrade from 8GB of RAM to 16GB of RAM and I'm wondering what brand you guys would recommend for optimal performance and general compatibility. I'm not on a budget but I'll obviously take the most efficiently priced one, I don't need anything crazy

Motherboard: B350M Bazooka GPU: GTX 1060 CPU: Ryzen 5 1600X Six-Core Processor 3.60 GHz

Thanks!

Might as well go for 32GB now if budget isn't an issue.

A 2 X 16GB kit will ensure the machine never needs a RAM upgrade again in its useful life, and also enable both rank and channel interleave, something you won't get with most 2 X 8GB kits.

I agree with the Corsair LPX. I paired 16gb 3200 mhz Corsair LPX memory with a 1700X and just enabled XMP profile and thats about it. Runs perfectly at 3200mhz with a 4.0 ghz overclock on the CPU.

Running XMP depends more on your motherboard / CPU than the actual kit

The idea RAM would be a decent 3000-3200mhz kit at like 16-16-36 or lower, B-Die isn't worth the extra if you don't overclock
