built my first computer about 3 to 4 years ago during summer of 2016. I have had upgrades to both power supply, case and SSD. Definitely needs a complete overhaul to horsepower now since some of my games are laggy and crash sometimes as they are barely getting past minimum requirements.

I might as well just add in a new GPU as well.

any ideas for upgrades

I am thinking about upgrading to Ryzen 5 2600X 6-Core 3.6GHz (with compatible motherboard and RAM) $418

replacing FX 6300 (the little engine that could)

might keep GTX 960 for now but want to keep upgrade somewhere around $500-$600 total

Included an rx 580 which should allow for maxing out or almost maxing out games at 1080p and getting 60fps. Swapped 2600x to 2600 as the only big difference is the extra few hundred mhz that could be reached by overclocking the the 2600 and the base clock boost really wont be too noticeable in gaming
