Graphics Driver Fiasco

Alright, so I have found out why my computer wouldn't boot. It turned out to be the Geforce Graphics Driver. The moment I had unistalled it in safe mode, my computer worked like a charm. However, I can't play games without the graphics driver installed. I have tried reinstalling the graphics driver from Nvidia's website, but the problem persists: the moment my PC boots from the BIOS screen, my monitor loses signal. I have RMA'd my GPU, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. For what it's worth, here is my parts list:

Recommend you try the following (if you have not already):

1) Boot into safe mode and run DDU, to ensure all of any previous driver install and files are removed.

2) Then reinstall the Nvidia driver, but do a Custom install to only install the Driver and PhysX. Don't install GeForce Experience, 3D Vision, or NVidia HD Audio. In particular the audio driver. It's not uncommon for Nvidia's audio driver to conflict with other audio drivers you already have installed.

Give it a try and see if that works. Please let me/us know how it goes....

Hello,

I have tried installing just the nvidia graphics drive after using DDU, but it appears to have made no difference: my monitor still loses signal just after the BIOS boot screen. I dont think that there is any conflict with drivers, as this is all on a completely fresh install of windows. Do you have any idea of what to do next?

Have you already tried clear CMOS?

Yes, the CMOS has been cleared. I have even taken the battery out of the motherboard to ensure that it was completely reset.

I'm assuming you've tried all the different video outputs on the GPU already?

I can't, as my monitor only accepts displayport.

Safe mode works fine

Don't install the latest graphics driver. Try installing an earlier version but before you do this, make sure you boot into safe mode and run DDU first. Then try to install an earlier graphics driver version.
