Goddamnit why did i have to have a Ryzen 7 1700.

eesti 2 points 1 month ago

looks like it's overclock time

DaMysteryMan 1 Build 2 points 1 month ago

Still not going to be able to hit 240

BetrayedPredator -1 points 1 month ago

Even an overclocked 9900k with struggle to hit 240 in most games

DaMysteryMan 1 Build 2 points 1 month ago

OCed 9900k can do 240 in a lot of games, anything other than extremely recent AAA actually. It also gets very GPU bound also

ZedSamCat 2 points 1 month ago

maybe even a non oced one in some games

At least in esport titles such as CS:GO/Overwatch, a 1700/1700x can easily hit 240 FPS with some decently fast ram, and a gtx 1070+ GPU.

It supports Freesync/G-sync (G-sync Compatible as well so plug and play) from 48hz-240hz.

So long as you are in that range it will look great even if you can't hit its max refresh.

That is one of the major issues with frame syncing it doesn't work when you push frame rates faster then monitor refresh this thing and Your CPU that isn't a worry the frames will be synced.

I know just not worth it, might as well get 144 Hz then

Gilroar 1 Build 1 point 1 month ago

Yes and no by the time you find a decent 144hz panel and stand your looking at $200+ anyways and this is one of the monitor that qualifies for NVidia quality standards so your definitely getting better image quality then anything cheaper.
