Light Switch Cooler Master MB520 RGB

Hi all,

I purchased this case for my new computer build recently; https://pcpartpicker.com/product/8wXnTW/cooler-master-masterbox-mb520-rgb-atx-mid-tower-case-mcb-b520-kgnn-rgb. Every seems to be working well except for the front fan lights. While I have the fans and lights functioning on the case I am unable to use the switch button to change the color for the fans. There is a switch slot on the RGB adapter that comes with the case however I am unable to find any cable from the front panel that attaches to it. Any suggestions or advice? If I need to clarify anything please let me know. I really want to get this working.

Cooler Master uses the reset button to run the RGB switch if You are not connecting to the motherboard.

Am I able to connect it to my motherboard? I have the b450 tomahawk. Would I connect it the JCORSAIR1 connector?

You would have to check if the fans are 12v compatible or 5v.

The Tomahawk I believe runs two 12v RGB headers.

So as far as I am able to tell the fans are 12v and the Tomahawk does have two 12v RGB headers. However, in the B450 manual it says that I am able to connect RGB LED Strips to the RGB headers, does it matter if I am connecting my fans to that even though the manual specifically says LED Strips? Futhermore, when I plugged the fans into that RGB header the first time the fan light did not turn on. Do I need to manually control it from a program on my computer for the lights to turn on?

Thanks for the help!

They should work with the MSI Mystic Light app.
