BIOS Update due to Incompatibility?

Hello!

First time builder here, and while I was checking if all my pieces were compatible, I got an incompatibility error saying that "Some Intel B360 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Coffee Lake Refresh CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions." Should I be worried? Will I need to buy different parts? This has probably been answered a lot of times but I would appreciate if any of you has the solution to my problem.

Thanks a lot!

Here's my build (yes, I know that there are missing pieces in my list); PCPartPicker Part List

You don’t need to get a BIOS update (unless you’ve already bought the board, that is)

If you get a decent Z390 board, it’ll alleviate those issues.

You were also missing a PSU, and some of your components were old so I’ve added that, and some newer bits

Thank you very much for your help! Just to make sure, so basically I just need to change my motherboard for it to be compatible? (I'll change some other pieces too, don't worry.) And just wondering, is that video card compatible for VR?

Yes, basically. B360 was for 8th gen CPUs, B365 rolled out with the 9th gen CPUs. Because of this, B360 would need a BIOS update before being compatible with 9th gen CPUs. B365 is ready to rock and roll out of the box.

The 1660 will work for VR but don't expect stellar results. VR is a lot to ask for a 1660 but it'll be able to do it.
