Same Question Different Build...

This is my current build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ravengpitts/saved/4l7z

I'm thinking about switching the 850w for a 750w PSU...

I do intend to SLI @ some point although probably no time soon, but the estimated wattage w/ SLI is 714. I plan to OC moderately but I have a tendency to see how far I can push an envelope so... how much I OC may change (first I have to learn how lol).

My question is with any amount of OC (just cpu, not gpu) would the 750w PSU be sufficient?

A 750 is pushing it if your estimated draw is 714 watts even without overclocking. I'd get the 850

Yup. ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry. If a PSU goes out it could easily take other components with it. I'm excited to see your build!

Thanks! I'm getting anxious myself lol

I'll shoot you a pm when I finally get it done.

those were my thoughts but I saw a 750w for a pretty good price so I wanted to see if I could cut corners a bit...
