My new build list has a warning for a missing PCIe 8-pin connector. Is there anything I can do to filter out incompatible PSU? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JvWhWD

Avoid the coolmax 400w PSU, not something to purchase for this build you created and especially able to purchase something far better. Plus it literally means what it's saying about the PSU, you'll need the PCIe 6+2-pin connector which the PSU from your part list does not provide the necessary PCIe cable for your GPU.

I suggest at least EVGA's BR 500w/600w or Corsair's CX (2017) 450w/550w. I also recommend you switch your single RAM to a dual set to take advantage of dual channel. You'll be able to add another 16GB or 8GB of RAM down the road when it's really needed. Otherwise 16GB of RAM is plentiful enough that you had originally, just better to avoid the single RAM when the motherboard has 4 DIMM slots already.

Of course this is still warning you ahead of time that it might require a BIOS update if the motherboard doesn't have the most recent BIOS up to date. This requires a BIOS that will support Intel's 9th generation processors.

If want to play it safe with the BIOS update, the B365 MOBO is an option.

Or could switch to their MircoATX MOBO if need to save $10 more: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/by2yJ8

Another option that also works is a Z390 MOBO and 16GB RAM @ 3000MHz: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Bn4bq4
