2400mhz vs 3200mhz for Ryzen 3000

I'm going to be upgrading my i5-7500 rig to a Ryzen 3rd gen cpu (either 3600 or 3700x) but I was wondering if my ram is due for an upgrade, and how much performance I would gain from getting faster ram. I could easily sell my 16gb of 2400mhz, so the upgrade to 16gb or 3200mhz would only be $20-$30.

The question is: would it be worth it? How much performance would I be getting out of it, compared to 2400mhz. Thanks!

Between 2400 and 3200 you are looking at around a 5% increase in performance.

If you don't mind spending 20/30 dollars more, i would get an 3200MHz kit according to this:

I could easily sell my 16GB of 2400MHz, so the upgrade to 16GB or 3200MHz would only be $20-$30.

Now the problem is, how much you would get by selling that Ram kit for having the least loss. lol
