Internal SSD not recognized in new build

I have a Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master MB with 2 m.2 drives connected, 1 tb each, with no problems. and a SATA connected Crucial MX 500 2TB SSD that the MB does not recognize. I have changed both the power and SATA connectors, and used different ports to connect. Still nothing. Question, is new SSD dead? Is there another way to determine this? Thanks for anticipated response. Denny

Read page 34 of your mobo manual.

Thanks, problem solved. SATA SSD is now recognized. Read that page several times, but did not understand. Got it now.

Found solution, thanks for your input. Still don't understand if sharing is good or bad. I had SSD in SATA port that manual says it shares with, but would not recognize. Changed to port that says "available" and SSD was recognized. Can u explain for me?
