[Power Supply] Seasonic Focus GX series as well as the Focus PX series

Seasonic is currently in the process of rebranding and updating their Power Supplies. Normally, I would say this is simply a case of correcting some names, but they are also changing the specs for the hardware, too. A prime example of this would be the Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 650W which is being rebranded the Seasonic Focus GX 650W. One key difference between the old Focus Plus Gold and the new Focus GX is the fact that the new GX has two CPU 4/8 pin connectors, whereas the old one has a single CPU 4/8 pin connector.

SeaSonic page with the details of how their naming system is changing: https://seasonic.com/oneseasonic

Part Number: SSR-650PX and SSR-650FX

Manufacturer Product Page: https://seasonic.com/focus-px (for the Focus PX line) https://seasonic.com/focus-gx (for the Focus GX line)

I'm not really sure about this link. The name is the old Focus Plus name, but the product number (SSR 650FX) matches the new one. The cable chart on the product page does match the old product, not the new one, so may be an inaccuracy on NewEgg's part, or it might actually be the old part. Just taking a look through, and I think I found the new PSU, although it isn't very clear as it shows up in the list as just "SeaSonic Focus" and doesn't include the PX or GX designator in its model name. Half the point of their OneSeaSonic initiative is clarity in naming; and burying the entire line under a single name seems kind of counter to that.

Changing the names that show up on the category view would require splitting them up into separate series, when they are in fact in the same series, which is the other half of the point of their initiative. Splitting them up would also impact functionality on the site. The differences between models that they call out in their product naming scheme will still be apparent on the page.

Ah, so here on PCPP each product line is going to basically be a single item that has a variety of settings for wattage, rating, etc.? Trickier, but I guess that works now that I know that's the case.

Thanks for the explanation! Now to wait for some distributors to actually carry them. (I note that Newegg.ca and a few others list PSU with the same part number, but are still the old focus models. Either that, or they haven't updated their specs yet.
