Static Stuff - DO NOT REPLY

If any of you people are worried about something about Static electricity, read this.

  • Don't dance around in socks or pantyhose before building your PC.

  • Go to your local tech store (BB or Micro Center) and pick up an antistatic band.

ANTISTATIC SETUP

  • When you build your PC, it's best to have an antistatic band. Wear the bracelet on your hand while the alligator clip is on grills like the heating system in my house. That, or your case

If you don't have a static mat you can try this:

Install your power supply, attach the power cable to the wall outlet, but don't turn it on. Touch the back of the power supply (metal part) and it will ground you.
Do this every so often, especially when about to touch electronics.

And keep your mobo and other components sitting on their anti-static bags.
