if you have a high enough budjet/are planning to overclock at any point, or are running a CPU with a high TDP (above 125w, I would say, which is the higher end AMD FX-series processors), then an after-market cooler is a necessity. single 120mm radiator coolers such as the H60 and H80 offer the benefit of being able to fit into almost any case out there, wetheras 2x120mm radiator coolers require 2 120mm fan mounts directly next to each other/some minor case modding to be effectively mounted. personally, for your first build in that case, with a haswell processor with low TDP, i would suggest the cooler master hyper 212 evo, as it is cheap enough, so cost-effective, and able to cool the CPU to what is really quite a decent temperature, even with a mild overclock. hope this helped :)

Liquid cooling is probably the best something like a h60 or h55. If your on a higher budget maybe a h100i. ????
