Honestly FX-8350's single core performance does not even come close to the 4770k's. But you don't really need that unless you are video editing. 8350 is way more cost-effective, as chuck said.

Oh BTW, just a comment on the build; You are gonna regret just getting such a low capacity SSD. Remember, your OS goes on there, and Windows puts a lot of junk on the OS drive. Unless you are getting Linux.. which I doubt.

Since You have the GA-990FXA-UD3 listed as your preferred motherboard, the answer is simple: go with the fx-8350. Oddly enough What you have listed is very close to my current build other than I have an fx-8320 It's listed here if you want to check it out. Same MB and case. Though I'm only using an R9 270X.

I still say go for the fx-8350 based on one major factor... cost, the 8350 and GA-990FXA-UD3 only costs ~$288 together where as the i74470K is ~$320 by itself and you would still have to but an Intel Motherboard on top of that. So if cost is a factor stay with that.

I5 4670k, but the 4770k is definitely faster than the 8350. I would definitely go with the 4670k.

+1 on the i5 4670k. Put the money saved from buying an i7 towards the motherboard or a ssd. Also you don't need to buy ram clocked at 2400...you could easily get away with 1600 or 1866.
