I love my ASUS cd/writer/drive for 19.99$ So nice to have in case you need a last resort. And ripping old cd's for your music data base... etc

Why would I need an optical drive? Couldn't I just install an OS with a USB? Plus I'm already getting Windows 8.1 from a friend. Thanks though. And I haven't purchased the monitor or the mouse. My current keyboard is a decent USB Wireless Microsoft keyboard, and my speakers are Diamond Audio Technology COMPUTER SPEAKERS EMC2.0-USB. I will also upgrade both when I get more money, but they are not as urgent. Is the 230T case better than the 300R? And also I am not recieving parts from Vuugo, DirectCanada, or Memory Express since I have been told they are unreliable at best, so the price would be fairly similar, but if your modifications are better, I will use those.

Thank you for your comment

Ok thanks a lot, I think I'm gonna go with the 230T. I will also take the optical drive from my old computer, so I should be fine. Thank you so much for everything!
