Hey, so i have just started to plan a new computer designed for rendering animation and gaming and I've selected these parts and I was wondering what you think.

Here's the part list: http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/user/TiggaBiscuit/saved/Kms8TW

Your entire build looks like overkill to me, unless rendering animation is more ram heavy than I had imagined.

Well, yes and no. From my understanding the more ram the better. And generally I like to have a lot of things happening at one time.

  • Arctic Silver 5: Not necessary. Selected HSF includes a small tube of thermal compound. No need for stated size.
  • Corsair CMY16GX3M2A2400C11R: Alternative with better specifications, low profile and less cost for 32GB. e.g. G.SKILL F3-1866C10Q-32GAB
